Download free BetaPalim is a professional macOS workbench for writers, editors, researchers, and publishing professionals working on books, scripts, reports, research manuscripts, and other long-form projects. Editing, reviewable AI suggestions, route exploration, old-draft intake, recovery, and export stay together in one local-first workspace.
The 0.2.3-beta.1 DMG is published on the official update domain and verified against the staged release checksum.
The update feed, artifact signature, checksums, and release notes publish from the official update domain.
Core prices are visible to set the launch frame; checkout, paid license, and Palim AI subscriptions remain closed.
The current Beta is not Developer ID signed or notarized; Gatekeeper prompts are documented before download.
Palim turns the difficult middle of a long-form project into a controlled workspace: primary text, alternate routes, imported material, revision suggestions, sources, and delivery outputs each have a place.
The active document stays central. Binder, AI Copilot, Revision Workbench, and support surfaces orbit the text instead of replacing it.
AI can propose, compare, and explain. The author decides what enters the draft, with visible comparisons and activity evidence.
Try a route without changing the current manuscript. Only selected scene or arc cards are adopted into the target route; manuscript, plan, and continuity remain separate checks in Adoption Review.
Version history, diagnostics, preview, print proof, and export paths keep the project usable after major revision rounds.
A focused writing surface tuned for long sections, CJK/Latin text, local history, and comfortable reading width.
Attach selected drafts, briefs, research notes, source material, and other context to a writing or editing task while keeping the workspace focused.
AI suggestions appear as reviewable comparisons. Accepted edits return through the manuscript's normal history.
Compare alternate routes, preview selected scene and arc card adoption, then record manuscript, plan, and continuity checks in Adoption Review.
Bring in outside draft files, reference libraries, and Scrivener projects directly as structured, editable project assets.
Publish structured manuscripts into reader preview, print proof, and standard exports while keeping layout separate from text.
Palim Core is free during the public Beta. The prices below represent the planned commercial launch structure; they are not for sale from this Beta site and paid subscriptions are closed for now.

This public Beta strengthens document intake and project work across different kinds of writing. Imported documents keep clearer source evidence, verified HTML originals can be previewed alongside editable content, export and font handling are more reliable, and an empty Project Library now uses the same workspace with one primary project-creation entry.
